Put Me In Coach

“Put me in coach!” It’s the sound of a young player trying to get in the game! In the game of life there are many times when we feel like we are ready to contribute to our team, or job, or whatever organization we are apart of. Sometimes our desire is not just to contribute but to get to that erroneous “next level”…

Something to consider; Usually when we “think” we are ready, we are usually not quite ready. This is the case in almost every stage of life. When we are first ready to communicate we try to speak but cannot. It is all gibberish until we start putting together words, then phrases, then complete thoughts or sentences. When we think we are ready to walk, we still have not fully developed the strength, coordination, and balance to avoid falling over. Even though failure is inevitable it is not final. It is simply part of the process and in MOST areas of life it is impossible to have success with out some failure.

The feeling of being ready is a sign that in fact you are almost there. Remember that you are typically not qualified for a promotion or new opportunity until you are over qualified for your current position. Continue to prepare and trust the people around you to continue to encourage and support you.Trust the process and when it is your time, it will be your time!

This is great! I've definitely struggle with this before and if I had known this wisdom at the time I would be miles ahead of where I am.

I am glad to hear this was good for you. I've learned 2 of the most powerful words a person can say is "Me Too!" I know the feeling of wishing I would have know something sooner. There can easily be a struggle with contentment which is what leads to this feeling of being ready prematurely. I will have another blogpost specifically on that subject! lol Thanks again for the comment and keep spreading the word. We can all grow together! CK
